Harris Nesbitt Hires Robert F. Barnett to Lead the Commercial and Industrial Products Group

CHICAGO, August 10, 2004 – Harris Nesbitt, the U.S. investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, announced today it has hired Robert F. Barnett as Managing Director and Head of the recently expanded Commercial and Industrial Products Group. Based in Chicago, he will be responsible for developing and executing the group's national strategy targeting upper mid-market Public and Private companies.

His experience and capital markets knowledge are a perfect fit to lead our expanded Commercial and Industrial Products Group," said Thomas C. Wright, Executive Managing Director, Harris Nesbitt. Prior to joining Harris Nesbitt, Barnett led the Midwest Banking Team of Banc One Capital Markets, Inc., where he handled large corporate client relationships. He also brings extensive capital markets and relationship management experience from his time at Bank One and its predecessors, First Chicago and NBD.
