Harris Bank to sponsor the Naperville Chamber of Commerce's Extreme Business Makeover

Harris Bank to sponsor the Naperville Chamber of Commerce's Extreme Business Makeover

CHICAGO, November 4, 2004 - The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Harris Bank Naperville will be the primary sponsor of the Extreme Business Makeover program that will involve Chamber Members in a common goal: to help others succeed in business by sharing the invaluable knowledge that each Member possesses.

"Being involved with this program is a perfect match with our mission to help businesses at various stages of their growth" said Frank Slocumb, Regional President at Harris Bank. "When we say 'We're With You All the Way,' we mean it, and what better way to prove it than to be a part of this ambitious and innovative program that will help a business go to the next level."

"We're thrilled to have Harris Bank sponsoring our Extreme Business Makeover," said Jennie Gates, the Chamber's Senior Vice President, Program Services. "They recognize that small business is the backbone of our economy, and that teamwork is the key to making us all better. This program builds on those core values for the benefit of us all."

The Extreme Business Makeover, inspired by the recent trend towards makeover television shows, will be powered by a Makeover Consulting Team of Chamber Members who will identify areas of one Member's business practices that could be strengthened. By donating their services in such categories as accounting, finance, sales, marketing, technology, physical space, operations, legal, insuran ce, etc. they will attempt to fundamentally transform the candidate business to help it achieve growth and prosperity. Periodic case studies will share the lessons learned during the process with the entire Chamber Membership.

The Chamber will announce the business that has been selected to be "made over" at a kickoff event on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at its downtown Naperville offices at 55 South Main St., Suite 351, in the Main Street Promenade.
