Harris Financial Corp. appoints Manpower Inc. CFO Michael J. Van Handel to Board of Directors

CHICAGO, May 30, 2006 - Harris has announced that Michael J. Van Handel, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Manpower Inc. (NYSE: MAN), has been appointed as a member of its Board of Directors.

Frank Techar, President and CEO of Harris Bankcorp Inc., said: "Mike's expertise in corporate financial oversight is a tremendous asset to our board as we continue to grow our business. At the same time, his experience in working for a world leader in the employment services industry will be of value in decisions that impact the people who make up the Harris family. At Manpower, Van Handel has overall responsibility for worldwide finance and accounting functions of the $16 billion company, including corporate finance, financial reporting, income taxes and accounting controls. He is extensively involved in strategic planning and also manages investor relations. Van Handel joined Manpower in 1989 as Director of Internal Audit, and in 1993 was named Vice President of International Accounting. In 1995 Van Handel became Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, and in 1998 became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

In 2002, Van Handel was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Van Handel, 47, graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.
