    Steppenwolf Theatre Company And Harris Partner For Ticket Kiosks
    Self-Service Stations A World-Wide First

    CHICAGO, September 26, 2006 – Steppenwolf Theatre Company announces a new partnership with Harris to provide self-service ticketing kiosks within the Steppenwolf Theatre campus, 1650 North Halsted, Chicago. The Harris Ticket Kiosks, located in both the Steppenwolf Upstairs and Downstairs Theatre lobbies, allow patrons to purchase tickets on site and print out will-call tickets purchased over the telephone or at Steppenwolf.org Steppenwolf Theatre Company is the only performing arts company in the world to offer this service to patrons.

"These kiosks have proven their value in other industries – such as cinemas and airlines – by providing a fast, convenient alternative to buying and picking up tickets. Now we're pleased to be the first in the world to bring this innovation to the performing arts."

    The launch of Harris Ticket Kiosks coincides with the Chicago premiere of The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh, directed by Steppenwolf ensemble member Amy Morton, which runs through November 12, 2006, in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre.
