Harris Celebrates 125 Years of Helping Customers

CHICAGO, May 9 – Harris is proud to announce the kick-off of its 125^th anniversary celebration. Over the next year, Harris will be celebrating with employees and customers throughout our communities with a variety of events and activities.

N.W. Harris came to Chicago in the late 1800s to help A merica expand westward. In 1882, he founded N.W. Harris & Co. and in 1907 incorporated into Harris Trust and Savings Bank. Today, that company is known as Harris, a full-scale provider of personal and commercial banking, wealth management and investing services.

Since its inception, Harris has remained true to its founding principles of honesty and fair dealing and has grown to be one of the largest banks in Chicago, with 233 branches in Illinois and Indiana, as well as wealth management offices from coast to coast.
