    Harris Names Daniel M. Barron Regional President, Harris Community Banking

    CHICAGO, May 31, 2007 – Harris today announced that Daniel M. Barron has been named regional president, Harris Community Banking with responsibility for the bank’s eight locations in Buffalo Grove , Libertyville , Mundelein , Northbrook , Vernon Hills and Wheeling. He will report Tom Werner, district executive for Harris' North District.

    In his role, Barron will have responsibility for developing and executing strategies to deliver the breadth of Harris' retail, business and wealth management services to his markets. With nearly 25 years of financial services experience, Barron most recently served as credit manager for the Harris Private Bank group in the bank's North District and prior to that he served as a senior manager for Harris Community Banking in Barrington, where he oversaw consumer lending and all retail banking activities for six Harris locations in that market.

    "We look to our regional president to ensure we are consistently providing exceptional service to our retail, business and wealth management clients, while also serving as a leader within their community," said Werner. "I am confident that Dan’s extensive background and proven track record will serve our customers and communities extremely well."

    Barron has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. He actively serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Barrington area United Way and he is a member of the campaign committee for his local church.
