Harris Appoints Christopher McComish Executive Vice-President & Head of Retail Banking

20 year Community Banking Veteran to Lead Retail Banking

CHICAGO, December 3, 2008 –Harris today announced the appointment of Christopher McComish as Executive Vice-President & Head of Retail Banking, Harris Community Bank.

McComish joins Harris from Wachovia N.A., where he most recently served as the Executive Vice President - Community Banking Executive Director. In this role, he was responsible for creating strategy and driving performance of 92 markets in seven states, which encompassed nearly 300 bankers and market leaders and 700 branches.

"Chris' extensive and strong community banking leadership experience made him a great fit for this role," said Ellen Costello, President and CEO Harris Financial Corp. "This coupled with his customer focus and significant expertise leading change will contribute to the successful execution of our growth strategies and expansion of our presence into new markets in the Midwest."

McComish will have responsibility for executing strategy and driving performance of Harris' retail banking network, consisting of more than 270 branches across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin and more than 3,500 employees. He will also have direct responsibility for retail product management, distribution, sales support, operations, lending, and work in partnership with business banking and wealth in delivering the Bank's capabilities to its customers and communities. He will report to Ellen Costello.

McComish holds a B.A. in International Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. His appointment is effective December 15, 2008 and he will be based at Harris' headquarters in downtown Chicago.
