    John Rau and Arnold Donald appointed to Harris Board of Directors
    New Board Members Bring Additional Financial and Strategic Experience

    CHICAGO, February 23, 2009 -Harris Financial Corp. announced today that John Rau, President and CEO of Miami Corporation, and Arnold Donald, former President and CEO of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, have been appointed to the Harris Board of Directors.

    “The addition of John and Arnold to our Board comes at a time when insightful financial and strategic experience is so important to growing in today’s financial marketplace,” said Dr. Leo M. Henikoff, Chairman of the Board, Harris Financial Corp. “Their experience, combined with their keen insights and business acumen, will benefit Harris and all we are striving to accomplish in order to meet and exceed our customer’s financial needs and goals.”

    John Rau currently serves as President and CEO of Miami Corporation, a private investment firm founded in 1917. Prior to Miami Corporation, Rau was the president and CEO of Chicago Title Corporation and its subsidiaries. He was also the dean of Indiana University’s School of Business, a consultant to McKinsey & Company, chairman of the Illinois Economic Development Boards and an advisor to former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar.

    Rau began his career in banking, including leadership positions at First National Bank of Chicago and was president and CEO of LaSalle National Bank. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/Mathematics from Boston College, and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Management.

    Arnold Donald, prior to joining the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations as its President and CEO, founded the Merisant Company, whose products include the sweeteners Equal and Canderel. He was also a senior executive at Monsanto Company in St. Louis, where he had worldwide responsibility in areas that included the company’s growth, globalization, and technology initiatives in addition to overseeing several years of tremendous growth in the agricultural biotechnology business.

    Donald earned a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He has been recognized as the “Executive of the Year” by Black Enterprise magazine and as one of Fortune magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Black Executives in America.” He has also been active in numerous professional and civic organizations.
