Harris Among Chicago's Top 30 Places to Work
Crain's Chicago Business Awards Harris Honorable Mention in Best Places to Work Survey

CHICAGO, March 29, 2010 –Harris today announced it was awarded an Honorable Mention in Crain's Chicago Business' 2010 Best Places to Work survey, which annually highlights the best workplaces in the Chicago area.

"It's an honor to be named among the 30 best places to work in Chicago," said Ellen Costello, president and CEO, Harris Financial Corp. "This award reflects our highly engaged -- and highly valued -- employees. It's also a testament to Harris' dedication to creating an inclusive culture that encourages each person to contribute his or her best."

The third annual list was drawn from results of two surveys. The first, an employer survey, focused on quantitative measurements relating to pay, benefits, hiring practices, and more. The second, a third-party online survey of employees, dealt with fairness of pay, vacation time, relationships with management and co-workers, and other matters involving the day-to-day workplace. The 20 top-scoring entrants were ranked on the list, while the next 10 companies received Honorable Mention.

This recognition adds to a number of recent honors for Harris, including the 2009 Business of the Year award from the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, several excellence awards for commercial banking teams from Greenwich Associates, and a perfect 100 percent score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2010 Corporate Equality Index.
