BMO Harris Bank Decks the Halls with 4th Annual Holiday Bazaar
Two-day event offers holiday entertainment, unique gifts for sale from local non-profits
CHICAGO, Dec. 7, 2011 – BMO Harris Bank is once again ringing in the holiday season with its 4th annual Holiday Bazaar, a festive celebration designed to support various local non-profit organizations during the holidays.
On Dec. 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., all are welcome to join in the festivities at BMO Harris Bank' s Chicago headquarters at 111 W. Monroe. The two-day event will include appearances from Chicago Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk, Chicago Bulls' Benny the Bull, BMO Harris Bank's Hubert the Lion, Joffrey Ballet's Nutcracker performers and various holiday entertainers, while more than a dozen non-profits come together to sell their unique products and handmade wares.
Guests can purchase a variety of gifts from the bazaar including handmade jewelry, spa baskets, pet toys, gourmet baked goods and tickets to holiday concerts in Chicago -- all items that support local non-profits. See below for a list of participating organizations.
"MayaWorks is delighted to be partnering once again with BMO Harris Bank and attending the Holiday Bazaar," said Stacey Freeh, Marketing Associate at MayaWorks. "These sales opportunities are important to our organization and allow us to better support our artisan partners by selling their handcrafted goods. This is an excellent opportunity to teach others about fair trade and the importance of economic development for artisans in Guatemala and our world. We enjoy giving others socially conscience holiday gift options!"
"As a company deeply embedded in our communities, we know that our non-profit partners enrich the lives of our neighbors and friends," said Judy Rice, Senior Vice President, Community Affairs and Economic Development, BMO Harris Bank. "Our Holiday Bazaar brings to light the positive impact these organizations have in our communities, and most importantly, helps us strengthen and expand their efforts throughout the year."
