Photos Speak A Thousand Words At Harris Bank Exhibition
Showcasing Lighthouse Art Center and Barry Seidman's artistry
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., February 8, 2012 – If a picture is worth a thousand words, the photography exhibition featuring the artistry of Barry Seidman and the Lighthouse Art Center, gave the nearly 200 guests who attended the exclusive event at Harris Private Bank, a part of BMO Financial Group, a million reasons to love art.
Specializing in still-life photography, Seidman was an advertising executive in Manhattan before devoting his work to his craft. The exhibition at Harris Private Bank was entitled "New Eyes," a compilation of his fine-art photographic series, which is represented in his recently released book of the same name. Seidman is an exhibiting member of the Lighthouse ArtCenter's Artists' Guild, which arranged the exhibition.
With over 83 pieces of photography, "Cocktails and Artistry" featured expansive canvasses showcasing close-ups of flowers, raspberries, the moon, human hands and eyes and even olives. Guests enjoyed conversations and hors d'oeuvres at café tables decorated with colorful tulips, juxtapositioned against an oversized study of tulips, stuffed olives and swirling smoke. As they mingled and meandered through the BMO Harris' offices at Phillips Point, guests were given a special glimpse into the eyes of this acclaimed photographer.
"We were pleased to present this exhibition and support the Lighthouse Art Center, which has regularly showcase d this artist's work," noted Michael J. Dyer, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ CFP® professional and Managing Director of Harris Private Bank in West Palm Beach. "We've received incredible feedback from our clients who attended. We were proud to provide them with an exceptional experience that gave us all 'food for thought.'"
According to Lighthouse ArtCenter Executive Director Katie Diets, "It's a beautiful thing when art and connoisseurs have the opportunity to come together.
