BMO Harris Bank Receives Twin Cities RISE! Community Partner Award
MINNEAPOLIS and ST. PAUL (October 25, 2012) – Twin Cities RISE! awarded BMO Harris Bank with their Comm unity Partner Award. Recipients of the award have helped Twin Cities RISE! meet their mission to provide employers with skilled workers – primarily men from communities of color in the Twin Cities area – by training under- and unemployed adults for skilled jobs that pay a living wage of at least $20,000 annually.
"BMO Harris has been particularly supportive of Twin Cities RISE! and we think it's important to acknowledge their partnership in supporting our mission," said Shelley Jacobson, Twin Cities RISE! Chief Operating Officer.
BMO Harris has a long history of supporting the organization through financial literacy training, mock interviews and other volunteer assistance. In addition, BMO Harris Bank awarded Twin Cities RISE! a grant in 2012 to fund technology upgrades in their computer lab where participants creating resumes and cover letters, and apply for jobs online.
