    BMO HARRIS BANK GRANT PROGRAM HELPS MAKE HOMEOWNERSHIP MORE AFFORDABLE

    LEAWOOD, KS (May 9, 2013) - BMO Harris Bank has announced an affordable housing grant program offering up to $2,000 that can be used towards a down payment or to reduce the closing costs on the purchase or refinance of a primary home.

    "This source of funding allows BMO Harris Bank to continue our commitment to creating healthy communities, and at the same time spur economic growth,” said Robert Vejar, Vice President, Kansas City Mortgage Market Manager, BMO Harris Bank. “"We are very supportive of increased homeownership of quality, affordable housing in our local communities.”
    The BMO Harris Bank Affordable Housing Grant program may help put your new home purchase or refinance within reach.

    • $2,000 grant can be combined with various products and programs
    • Grant is available for properties in select counties and select census tracts in Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Washington and Wisconsin
    • Applicants may also qualify for other closing costs or down payment assistance

    BMO Harris Bank has seen a surge in requests for loans as consumers are looking for several choices when financing their home.  The bank has launched several product and marketing initiatives targeting the home purchase marketplace in response to consumer demand.  Mortgage lenders have been hired across the country to help with the i ncreased volume, and Vejar continues to recruit bankers to join his mortgage team.
