BMO EMPLOYEES SPEND TIME WITH SENIORS
Naples Employees Work Together for Annual Volunteer Day
NAPLES (June 7, 2013) – As part of a company-wide day of volunteering, BMO financial professionals across all lines of business in Naples recently took several hours out of their day to serve lunch and socialize with seniors at the Jewish Family and Community Service.
Jewish Family and Community Service provides a variety of social services for adults, children and seniors. Their "Just Lunch" program provides friendship and a welcome social connection for seniors.
"We truly enjoy each year we participate in Volunteer Day," said BMO Private Bank Managing Director, Scott Hansen. "It's very heart-warming to see the impact something as simple as talking and sharing a meal can have on an individual, especially a senior."
Launched in 2001, BMO Volunteer Day has grown to include approximately 5,600 employees participating in more than 470 projects in communities across the U.S. and Canada, including activities to benefit children and youth organizations, elder care, food banks, community housing, health care facilities, family resource centers, parks and recreational facilities, military personnel, relief organizations and homeless shelters.
"Our employees are involved in the community year-round. Volunteer Day is just another demonstration of how we show that support," added Hansen.
